There is a good turn out of news in sports. Keep following, because I will write as I see them. First, congratulations to the highest winning percentage and best imitated coach in NBA - Avery Johnson. He will be the New Jersey Nets. Hopefully he will pick up some good players with the third pick and money from the owner, I hope they do well. maybe one or two good free agents coming up this year.
Another big hit, college - mainly affecting NCAA football. Nebraska has accepted the offer to join the Big Ten. The other powerhouses in the Big 12 should be joining PAC 10 this week. All this will come into affect in the 2012 season. The teams from the big 12 would be Texas, Texas A&M, T-Tech, Oklahoma, Oklahoma St and possibly Colorado.
"The details are still unknown, but the times of super-conferences and a national title playoff will soon arrive. Super-conferences will make conference play even more difficult, and a playoff will give mid-majors and middle conference teams the ability to make a title run..." - bleacher report
Its time to make moves, this will make better conference play, better weekend games, and more trash talking.

GAME THREE LAKERS OVER CELTICS
Aw man, a great game with less shitty calls. I told everyone, if ray Allen is shut down the lakers will be able to win the game. However, I did not know Allen would go 0 for 13 from the field. But stats show that Ray does not have back to back great scoring games, so i was not surprised he did not kill us, but i was shocked he did not hit one shot. The big mean for the Lakers are playing great, disturbing and blocking shots, and not allowing easy shots in the paint. We slowed down Rondo and that was good. Kobe was having an off night, and sometimes i wish he would penetrate to kick or look for a shot, but we can not be stagnant on offense. Kobe at this point will try to take over, and it gets real ugly. Glad for d fish, had a huge game. Now stat was fisher did not score any more points that he does on the road, it was just super clutch shots when nobody else was doing it for us. Gasol wants the ball more, but he needs to post strong. I know the feeling of having a stronger defender, but then its all about positioning and timing. He should get more touches, but he has to know how to post up, be physical and use his advantage. everyone has at least one advantage over another person, its just who gets to use theirs more. Luke, this fool gets on my nerves. cant wait til his contract is up, and he needs to leave. He had rondo on him on the post and did not take advantage of his size and length, and was getting out muscled. We at least Fisher saved the night. I believe that Lamar will be here game 4. So far i made a good prediction to win game three. In game four we will have to play the same, Kobe will shoot better and Lamar will play better too.

GAME TWO - LAKERS VS CELTICS
A HUUUUUGE DISAPPOINTMENT. I'll start with the small stuff. Odom was Odom, you never know when he is going to show up. Brown was missing too, always focusing on high flying instead of playing the game right.
The refs made the game ugly, very bad calls on both sides of the ball. It makes it hard to play a game when referees anticipate a call, assuming something is going to happen and they blow the whistle. Then you have the "that must have been a foul" call, where they cant see that it was the offensive players fault for falling or losing the ball. Finally, the call when Garnett hit the ball out of bounce, and from 8 different slow motion video angles, the refs still made the ball call.
Now on to our defense. For one, Lakers are too big with three 7 footers to not have plus 15 in rebound and shit. We are not aggressive to the boards on the o-end, and occasionally good to defense, but we cant let rondo out rebound anybody on our team. Not only that, we Lakers now have the most blocks in a NBA finals. Really does not mean anything when you lose.
The most disturbing issue of the night was Ray Allen gettin off all them three's. Now i have played ball from a kid to semi pro, you do not let a shooter have any room to pull. In the first half we did nothing right, but did better in the second half. See, in the first half, Fisher was trying to exaggerate on the screens to get calls - stop that maaaan. The Kobe wants to go over a screen - never do that on a shooter, always trail, always always always trail. Then Shannon Brown, what were you doing. You don't leave a shooter by the time you came to guard him when he was 4 for 4, you don't leave him for nothing, not to rebound, not to help on another person, not to pick up your shoe that fell off.
It was sad, but in game three, if we stop that, we can win, but it is three straight games in Boston and sometimes we do not play well on the road. However, the positive from the night was Artest's defense (we need some better O from him), Gasol and Bynum's Offense and Defense. We will win game three if we get off the road game jitters.

Yuri Foreman vs Miguel Cotto - June 5, 2010
The undercard fight was ok, Vanes "nightmare" Martirosyan vs "mean" Joe Greene. Their fight started off with a few low blows and phony acting as if they did get hit below the belt or even hard enough to make them bounce around the ring. Now I root for all brothas in boxing, i believe they keep the welterweight up to heavyweight division in boxing more popular. Joe Greene disappointed me. He wasnt aggresive after the first round, and only threw one punch at a time, even with Martirosyan's eye swollen. Good fight for Vanes, and good luck, looking forward to more of his fights. "nice" joe greene, head back to the training room.
The main card was Yuri Foreman vs Miguel Cotto, for Foreman's Jr Middleweight Belt. This was Yuri's biggest fight of his career in America, to bring his status up. For Miguel, it was to revitalize his career in a higher weightclass from his two big losses in the welterweight division to Antonio Margarito (still a questionable loss) and to Manny Pacquiao. The fight started off slow for Yuri who wasnt use to this spotlight and trying to figure out Cotto's speed and stregnth. The fight picked up after the 4th round even the Miguel still had controll. An unfortunate knee blowout for Yuri in the 7th round slowed him down tremendously, but he fought through it. In the 8th he blew his knee out again and his corner threw in the towel, but referee arthur mecante (one of the best in the business), rejected the towel throw in and let the fight continue. The ref did not want to see a fighter like Foreman lose his belt like that. However in the 9th, Cotto caught an exposed rib cage and knocked Foreman to the ring. Foreman couldnt bounce back from that, with the bad knee. The fight was over, a victory for Cotto.
I feel this fight was good for both. Gives Yuri exposure to the U.S. and Cotto a chance to bring his career back to the spotlight. True boxing fans know that this is a good division, and probably will surpass welterweight because of the top 8 boxers in the weightclass. I was glad of the outcome of both matches on HBO tonight. I will keep you want to be boxing fans updated with all the fights I can keep up with, and share your thoughts.
